How to send a pay-to-view message on IWantClips

A pay-to-view message, or PTV, lets a customer pay to unlock the media attached to a message. It is different from charging a customer to send you an incoming message.

Prepare the media first

Upload the files to your Media Library before composing the PTV message. Current Message Center guidance uses that library to add attachments rather than uploading files directly inside the message composer.

A message can contain up to 50 attachments, subject to a 1 GB combined attachment limit. Check the total across the selected files, not just the size of the largest one.

Create the paid message

Choose the recipients, write the message, and select the pay-to-view option. Set a price between $1 and $10,000, then attach the intended library items. The message text can contain up to 10,000 characters.

Check the price and every attachment before sending. Make the description clear enough for the customer to understand the offer without implying that an unrelated purchase unlocks it.

Review and purchase status

Visual attachments can require moderation before a message is sent. Allow for that review when planning a scheduled promotion.

Opening or reading the message is not the same as purchasing its media. Use the payment status to distinguish a read message from a paid unlock.

A paid unlock provides viewing and downloading access to the purchased media. Do not advertise PTV as a view-only system that prevents customers from obtaining a download.
