Fix camera or microphone problems on CAM4
In Broadcast → Regular Streaming, a missing picture or audio input often points to permissions, the wrong selected device, or another application using it.
Check access and inputs
- 1.Review CAM4's camera and microphone permissions in your browser's site settings.
- 2.Allow the intended devices and check any operating-system permission prompts.
- 3.Choose the correct camera and microphone in the broadcast setup.
- 4.Close other applications or browser tabs using the physical device if they are preventing access.
- 5.Reload the broadcast setup or restart the browser outside an active session if needed.
Use the current browser permission controls; their appearance can differ from old screenshots.
Separate missing devices from poor quality
If the picture appears but is slow or unstable, check upload performance, network congestion, and unnecessary applications. A device permission change will not fix a weak connection.
An OBS virtual camera is a separate route when you want OBS's picture to appear as a browser camera. Select the microphone independently and confirm the live output before relying on it.
If the issue continues, contact technical support with the browser, device, broadcast mode, and error. Do not disable your entire firewall or antivirus as a general fix.
