Troubleshoot the C4 broadcasting app
The app's video stream and chat connection are separate components. A working picture does not prove that chat, viewer counts, or tip notifications are connected.
Check which connection failed
If chat messages or tip notifications disappear, review the chat-connection indicator. If the app reports disconnection for poor network quality, check the network-strength indicator and move to a more reliable connection before restarting. Check the recorded-token or earnings record when verifying a tip, rather than relying on a notification alone.
The app adapts video quality to network conditions and can disconnect when the result becomes unviewable. Staying connected to Wi-Fi does not necessarily mean that Wi-Fi is performing well.
Check device-specific controls
Some phones do not provide every filter, mask, brightness, or microphone control described in the help pages. Look in the app's current settings rather than assuming a missing option is available on every device.
Improve lighting and keep the phone stable. If you use the camera-brightness option, note that it can reduce the frame rate.
Contact support with the actual error
Confirm the account credentials when login fails. For server or post-update problems, record the error, device, app version, and connection type.
The app menu includes customer support and access to the broadcaster dashboard. Use that route or official CAM4 support; do not install a replacement app sent by a viewer.
