How to set up IWantClips video-call push notifications

IWantClips documents a push-alert setup using ntfy so creators can receive incoming video-call notifications away from an open site page. The notification app carries an alert; the video call itself still uses the platform's call workflow.

Connect the notification topic

  1. 1.Open Video Call Dashboard → Push Notification Status and enable the feature.
  2. 2.Install or open ntfy using the platform's documented setup.
  3. 3.Configure the server as https://push.iwantclips.com.
  4. 4.Copy your own notification topic from the dashboard and subscribe to that topic.
  5. 5.Allow notifications for ntfy on your device, then return to the dashboard and select Test.

Use the complete server address. A shortened address copied from a broken line in an older help page will not identify the same server.

Protect the topic and login link

Keep your topic private. Do not publish screenshots that expose it or share call alerts with other people.

The documented notification can include a one-time automatic-login link with a five-minute validity period. Treat that link as sensitive account access, not as a promotional URL.

Answer promptly

You have five minutes to answer the incoming call. A notification arriving does not mean the call has been accepted or reserved indefinitely.

Check that you are available in the platform and that the device actually receives alerts before relying on the setup. Browser permissions, device settings, and connectivity can affect delivery. If an alert fails, investigate those settings and the subscription details rather than assuming the customer never called.
