Understand username colors in Chaturbate chat
Chaturbate uses chat colors to show account roles or token activity. They can provide context, but they do not guarantee that a viewer will tip or buy a show.
| Color | Meaning in Chaturbate's guide |
|---|---|
| Orange | Broadcaster |
| Red | Moderator |
| Green | Fan-club member |
| Dark purple | At least 1,000 tokens tipped in the past two weeks |
| Light purple | At least 250 tokens tipped in the past two weeks |
| Dark blue | At least 50 tokens tipped in the past two weeks |
| Light blue | Owns or has purchased tokens |
| Gray | No tokens |
Users can limit the highest username color displayed through the chat gear settings. A displayed color therefore does not provide a complete account history or reveal what someone can afford.
Use actual token notifications and transaction records to confirm payment. A username color, role, or claim in chat is not proof that a specific tip was sent to you.
