Manage your Chaturbate room and chat controls

Chaturbate's Settings & Privacy tab below the broadcast window contains room controls, including location restrictions, a room password, private-show options, and fan-club settings.

Review these before starting a show, especially if you recently changed a password or paid-show setting. A setting left enabled from a previous session can change how viewers access the next one.

Restrict a viewer's participation

Select the viewer's username in chat and choose the appropriate action:

• Silence for 6 hours prevents the user from chatting for that period.
• Kick/Ban removes access to your room, including viewing and chatting, under the applicable ban setting.

Silencing and banning solve different problems. A silent viewer may still be able to watch; use the room-access control when you need to remove viewing access too.

Review or reverse restrictions

To manage existing restrictions, choose View/Edit Bans and Silences from the menu above the chat. Use it to review restrictions, apply a permanent ban where available, or remove an existing ban or silence.

Location blocking is a separate room control based on IP location and can be bypassed. It should not be treated as a substitute for managing individual abusive users or protecting personal information.
