How to Troubleshoot Low FPS on Chaturbate

A low frame rate can come from camera settings, overloaded encoding, or insufficient resources. Identify the problem before increasing the bitrate or buying another camera.

Reduce avoidable load

Close unneeded programs and tabs. Stop competing uploads, downloads, or other bandwidth-heavy activity on the same connection.

If using OBS, check its statistics to distinguish encoding or rendering overload from network-dropped frames. Lowering the frame rate or resolution can help a system struggling to process the current output.

Test one change at a time

Start with a stable configuration and observe the result. A higher FPS value is not automatically better if the camera cannot supply it or the computer cannot sustain it.
