How to Set Up DirectIM on AdultWork

DirectIM is AdultWork's timed, text-only broadcaster service. It is separate from the Direct Messenger product that charges per message.

Enable chat-only mode

1. 1.Ensure Webcam Work is selected in Registration Details.
2. 2.Open DirectCam Settings or the broadcaster's Broadcaster Settings.
3. 3.Enable DirectIM Mode (Chat Only) or Chat Only Mode, depending on the interface.
4. 4.Review the available session modes and set the relevant text-chat rates.
5. 5.Open the broadcaster to begin the service.

The dedicated DirectIM article lists Free, Group, and Private choices, while newer broadcaster guidance emphasizes enabling a paid mode. Use the options actually offered by your current setup and do not assume Free alone satisfies every version's startup requirements.

Check the public result

Your profile should show DirectIM availability when the service is active. If video disappears because chat-only mode is enabled, that is different from a camera fault.
