How AdultWork DirectChat Works for Creators
DirectChat lets AdultWork members call you for paid phone chat without arranging a booking first. You set your price per minute and provide the phone number where you want to receive calls. AdultWork routes the call without revealing that nominated number to the caller.
How a DirectChat call reaches you
The member calls AdultWork's central number and enters your PIN. The system then connects them to the phone number you have supplied.
For the call to connect:
- Your account must be active and correctly set up for the service.
- You must be showing as available for Phone Chat.
- The caller must have enough credits for at least five minutes at your rate.
That five-minute balance requirement is a condition for connecting the call. AdultWork's guidance describes the call itself as billed by the second.
Set or change your price
- 1.Log in to AdultWork and open Edit Profile.
- 2.Select the Phone Chat tab.
- 3.Enter your DirectChat price per minute in the relevant field.
- 4.Select Save.
Check both your rate and your Phone Chat availability when you are ready to take calls.
Recognize a DirectChat call
AdultWork's guidance lists 020 8114 8000 as the number used for incoming DirectChat calls to your nominated phone.
A normal call from another number does not automatically earn you DirectChat credits. AdultWork says other calls require a separately arranged manual phone chat booking to be credited through that booking process.
How DirectChat earnings are calculated
Credits are calculated from your chosen rate and the length of the call, measured by the second.
AdultWork's supplied guidance lists a separate telecom charge of 0.20 credits per minute, also calculated by the second and deducted at the end of the call.
For example, at 1 credit per minute for a 2-minute, 30-second call:

This example isolates the call calculation and telecom charge. It does not calculate your final withdrawal amount after any other applicable platform or FLASH fees.
Check AdultWork's current DirectChat charge before deciding what rate to set. The caller also pays their own phone provider for calling the central number.
