IWantClips store-upload formats and file-size limits
Check the file requirements before starting a browser upload. The limits below apply to the store-upload guidance, not to every attachment or transfer tool on the platform.
| Store item | Accepted formats | Published browser-upload limit |
|---|---|---|
| Video clip | MP4, M4V, MOV, WMV, AVI | 3 GB |
| Photo | JPEG, PNG, GIF | 25 MB |
| Audio | MP3 | 3 GB |
| Document | PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, TXT | 3 GB |
Preparing video
The platform converts supported video uploads to MP4. Using a well-supported MP4 export can simplify preparation, but changing a filename's extension does not convert the underlying file.
Check that the exported clip plays correctly before uploading. Review the beginning, end, sound, and displayed resolution so you can separate an export problem from a transfer problem.
Larger files and other upload tools
IWantClips offers an SFTP transfer workflow for files that need that route. Do not interpret the availability of SFTP as unlimited storage or unrestricted file support; follow the current account instructions and processing requirements.
Message Center has its own attachment workflow and limits. In particular, the current messaging guidance uses Media Library attachments with a total-message limit rather than this store-upload table.
If a supported file is rejected, record its actual format, size, and error message. Repeatedly renaming or resubmitting an incompatible file is unlikely to resolve the underlying issue.
