Configure chat settings in your CAM4 room
Open the chat-settings gear in your browser broadcast window. These controls change how you manage conversation; they do not replace performer approval or payment verification.
Set communication preferences
Choose a readable font size and review whether you want private messages during a show. The settings also include controls to mute private-show notification sounds and restrict messages from other broadcasters.
Muting a notification sound does not necessarily disable the underlying request. Check the actual request controls if you want to change what you accept.
Review audience filters
The documented filters include people using your language, friends and favorites, and users with tokens. Enable only the restrictions you intend.
These are chat controls. Do not promise that a chat filter makes the video invisible or that a token-holder filter guarantees the viewer can afford a particular session.
If someone says they cannot chat, check filters and whether they were silenced before treating it as a general site fault.
Use translation carefully
Enable the chat translator and select the intended language. The feature can also show the original message.
Confirm important prices, timing, and boundaries clearly. Automatic translation is useful assistance but can misunderstand a message.
