How to Test Your Lovense Setup Before Going Live

Testing your Lovense setup before starting a webcam show can catch connection and configuration problems before viewers begin tipping.

A quick test should confirm that your toy, tip rules and any visual feedback are all working together correctly.

1. Check Toy Status

Start by checking Toy Status.

Make sure every Lovense toy you plan to use appears as connected.

If you're using Lovense Connect on your phone, also make sure the app remains running and connected.

2. Check your Basic Levels

Open Basic Levels for the cam site you're about to use.

Check:

  • Your intended tip amounts are configured.
  • The correct toy or toys are selected.
  • Reaction times are correct.
  • Vibration intensities are correct.

If you've recently changed your menu, this is particularly worth checking.

3. Check your Special Commands

If you're using Special Commands, review their tip amounts.

Make sure you haven't accidentally assigned a Special Command the same tip amount as a Basic Level unless that's intentional.

A Special Command takes priority when both use the same amount.

4. Send a test tip

Use Lovense's Send Test Tip functionality.

Test more than one level if your setup contains several different reactions.

Confirm that the correct toy responds at the expected intensity and for the expected duration.

5. Check Video Feedback

If you use Lovense Video Feedback, watch your stream preview while testing.

Make sure the visual information:

  • Appears correctly
  • Isn't hidden behind another source
  • Matches your current tip settings
  • Doesn't cover an important part of your camera feed

For OBS setups, make sure Lovense Video Feedback is above your other relevant sources.

6. Test interactive apps

If you're using features such as Dice, Keno or another Lovense app, test those separately.

A working Basic Level doesn't automatically prove that every additional app is configured correctly.

7. Check the actual cam site

Finally, make sure you're configuring the same webcam platform you're about to broadcast on.

If you use multiple cam sites, it's surprisingly easy to spend five minutes perfecting the settings for Site A immediately before going live on Site B. Computers remain deeply committed to doing precisely what we tell them rather than what we meant.
