How to Install the Lovense Cam Extension
The Lovense Cam Extension allows supported webcam platforms to interact with your connected Lovense toys.
You'll need to install the extension before you can configure features such as tip-activated vibrations.
Step 1: Download the Lovense Cam Extension
Download the latest Lovense Cam Extension from Lovense.
The download is provided as a compressed ZIP file.
Step 2: Extract the downloaded file
Once the download has finished:
- 1.Open your Downloads folder.
- 2.Find the downloaded Lovense ZIP file.
- 3.Extract or unzip the file.
- 4.Make a note of where the extracted folder is located.
Don't delete the extracted folder yet. Your browser will need it during installation.
Step 3: Open your browser's Extensions page
In Chrome, open the Extensions menu and select Manage Extensions.
You can also enter:
chrome://extensions
into the Chrome address bar.
Step 4: Enable Developer Mode
On the Extensions page, switch Developer mode on.
Lovense currently instructs users to leave Developer Mode enabled because some extension functionality may depend on it.
Step 5: Load the Lovense Cam Extension
Click Load unpacked.
Navigate to the Lovense folder you extracted earlier, select the folder and confirm your selection.
The Lovense Cam Extension should then appear among your installed browser extensions.
Step 6: Pin the extension
Open your browser's extension menu and pin the Lovense Cam Extension.
This keeps it easily accessible from your browser toolbar.
Lovense's current installation process follows the same basic sequence: unpack the downloaded extension, enable Developer Mode, load the unpacked extension and pin it.
What should I do after installing the extension?
Installing the extension is only the first part of the setup.
You'll still need to:
- 1.Connect your Lovense toy.
- 2.Connect the toy to the Cam Extension.
- 3.Add the webcam platform you use.
- 4.Configure your tip settings.
- 5.Test the connection before broadcasting.
Once those steps are complete, your Lovense setup can respond to supported interactions from your cam site.
