How to Join the VTubers Category on Stripchat

Stripchat's VTubers category allows models to broadcast using an animated 2D or 3D character instead of showing their face throughout the stream.

Your avatar should behave like an actual virtual performer rather than simply being a static image placed over your broadcast.

What do I need to become a VTuber?

Stripchat's guidance expects a VTuber setup to include:

  • An animated 2D or 3D avatar
  • Facial or motion tracking
  • An expressive, active character
  • A personality, voice or story for the character
  • An appropriate themed background

Static images or simple overlays aren't accepted as a VTuber setup.

How do I apply for the VTubers category?

Apply through:

Broadcasting > My Details > Stream Specifics

Stripchat requires a short stream-specific sample video.

The video should show the real verified performer before demonstrating the virtual character being activated and used.

This allows Stripchat to confirm that the verified model is genuinely controlling the character.

Do I still need to be verified?

Yes.

Using a virtual avatar doesn't remove Stripchat's normal verification requirements.

Everyone involved must still be properly registered and verified, and Stripchat requires models to be available for facial verification when requested.

Do I have to use my avatar every time?

If you're broadcasting in the VTubers category, you must actually use your virtual character.

Broadcasting in the category without the character is prohibited.

You can still run other types of broadcasts outside the VTubers category when appropriate.
