How Do Stripchat Special and Seasonal Categories Work?
Stripchat runs special categories that models can apply to join.
Some are seasonal categories for events such as Valentine's Day, Independence Day, Halloween, Christmas and Oktoberfest. Others are based on a particular type of show.
Unlike ordinary categories, these may require Stripchat to approve your broadcast before you can appear in them.
How to apply for a special category
When applications are open, go to:
Broadcasting > My Details > Stream Specifics
Choose the category you want to apply for.
For categories requiring verification, you'll need to upload a sample video showing the type of broadcast you intend to perform.
For Stripchat's seasonal categories, the source guidance requires the sample to:
- Be at least 30 seconds long
- Include sound
- Show how you intend to perform during the themed broadcast
- Use a supported format such as MP4, MOV or MPEG
Your sample should genuinely demonstrate the category rather than simply mentioning it.
What happens after I apply?
Stripchat reviews your sample.
If it's approved, you'll receive a private message and the category will show as approved under Stream Specifics.
Approval doesn't mean every future broadcast automatically appears in that category.
When you're about to perform the relevant show, select the approved category in your Stream Specifics before going live.
Does my actual show have to match the category?
Yes.
If you select a special category, your public broadcast is expected to genuinely match it.
For seasonal categories, this can include your:
- Outfit
- Room decorations or props
- Tip Menu
- Topic
- Activities
Simply selecting the category without actually running the corresponding themed show isn't enough.
When can I apply for seasonal categories?
Seasonal categories are only available around the relevant event.
Stripchat announces the application period and event dates through Model News each year.
Because those dates can change from year to year, check the current announcement rather than relying on dates from a previous event.
Which seasonal categories does Stripchat offer?
Stripchat has offered special categories for events including:
- Valentine's Day
- Independence Day
- Halloween
- Oktoberfest
- Christmas
The categories available can change, so check Stream Specifics and Model News for current options.
This is one of those cases where combining five near-identical Stripchat articles into one useful guide saves everyone from learning the same upload instructions five times. Humanity survives another small efficiency gain.
