Protect your privacy when using Telegram for SkyPrivate
Review Telegram's privacy settings before connecting with members. A public username lets people identify your Telegram account without you intentionally sharing your phone number in a conversation.
Check phone-number and contact controls
In Telegram's privacy settings, review:
- Who can see your phone number. Use Nobody if you do not want it displayed.
- Who can find you by your number. Consider the contacts-only option.
- Contact syncing. Turn it off if you do not want the app importing your device contacts.
Check the actual saved choices and any exceptions. Hiding the number in one field does not guarantee that someone who already knows it cannot identify you.
Allow only the access you need
Review call and group-invitation controls against the SkyPrivate workflow you use. Do not open every privacy setting to everyone merely to troubleshoot one connection. For pay-per-minute Telegram sessions, use the officially created bot group and start the call as the model.
Keep relevant written agreements when needed for a dispute. Telegram Desktop offers chat-export tools, and conversation screenshots can also provide evidence.
Privacy settings do not stop another participant from copying information you send. Keep personal addresses, identity documents, passwords, and unrelated private details out of member chats.
