How IWantClips archives unsuccessful content
IWantClips has an archiving policy for older content with no lifetime sales. The published standard combines two conditions: the item has been available for at least 12 months and has made zero sales.
An older item with a sale is not the same as a never-sold item under this policy. Likewise, recent content is not eligible simply because it has not sold yet.
New-store allowance
The guidance describes a 24-month allowance for new stores that are one year old or less. If the relevant date is unclear for your store or item, ask support to confirm it rather than guessing when the allowance expires.
Notice and the pending period
The platform runs the archiving process monthly and sends a notice when affected content enters Pending Archive. The documented pending period is 14 days.
Use that time to save the files and listing information you need. Include related assets and descriptions rather than downloading only a preview image.
After archiving
Once an item reaches Archived status under this process, the guidance says it is permanently removed from the available-content workflow and cannot be downloaded there.
Keep independent backups before an item approaches the threshold. Do not assume support can restore an archived file.
Reuploading the same content to reset its age or evade the policy conflicts with the platform's publishing guidance. Plan genuine catalog updates instead of cycling duplicate listings.
