Understand private-show recordings on Chaturbate

Chaturbate can provide a private-show recording to the customer when the recording option is enabled before the show request. Review this setting before accepting a private show.

When a recording is created

Chaturbate's guide says an eligible private show must last at least 30 seconds to produce a recording. Where the feature applies, the customer finds the recording in My Collection.

Enabling recordings afterward does not retroactively create a platform recording for a show that began without the option enabled.

Make the offer clear

If you advertise a private-show recording as a benefit, make sure the setting supports that promise before starting. Do not assume that every private show automatically includes a recording or that all show types have identical recording conditions.

Understand the privacy limit

Turning off Chaturbate's recording feature prevents that feature from creating the customer recording under its rules. It is not a guarantee that a viewer cannot make an unauthorized recording using another device or software.

If copied content appears elsewhere, keep the specific URLs and use the appropriate reporting or DMCA process. Changing the setting later does not remove copies already made.
