Understand Cam to Cam requests on Chaturbate

Cam to Cam, or C2C, lets a viewer share their camera with the creator. Chaturbate's current guide describes it as video only, without audio.

Accepting a viewer's camera

When a viewer starts a C2C request, you receive a notice in chat. You must accept on your side before viewing their camera.

The viewer sees an orange eye icon while you are watching. The shared viewer feed is shown to the creator, rather than automatically being displayed to everyone in the room.

A C2C request does not require you to accept it. It also does not by itself start a paid private show or establish that a payment has been made.

Why a viewer may be asked to verify

Chaturbate says use of C2C requires its streamlined age-verification process because of applicable age-verification requirements. A viewer may therefore need to complete that step before sharing a camera.

Keep the feed separate from your output

If you use screen capture or build custom encoder scenes, check what those sources include before going live. Do not deliberately rebroadcast another person's private feed without the necessary permission or platform approval.
