Upload and use emoticons on Chaturbate

Emoticons are images associated with chat shortcuts. All users can use available emoticons, but Chaturbate requires tokens on an account to upload new ones.

Find and use an emoticon

Type a colon in the chat input to bring up available emoticon shortcuts and suggestions. Choose the image you want, then check your message before sending it.

Use images in moderation so viewers can still follow the conversation and your room's important information.

Upload your own

Open Chaturbate's emoticon upload page and choose an image you have permission to share. Set a shortcut that is easy to recognize and follow the upload requirements shown there.

For animated emoticons displayed inline, Chaturbate specifies a maximum size of 250 × 80 pixels and a file size of 1 MB. Resize or reduce the animation if it exceeds those limits.

Uploaded images must follow the platform's content rules. Do not use copyrighted material without permission or upload illegal, offensive, or otherwise prohibited content. An image appearing in chat does not prove that a tip or payment has been made.
