Assign a moderator to your CAM4 room

A moderator can help enforce your room rules while you broadcast. The role is optional and grants chat moderation controls, not access to your account settings or private account information.

Assign the role

In the browser broadcast room, click the intended person's username in chat or the user list. Choose Moderator Options → Assign As Moderator.

Repeat for another person if you need more than one moderator. Check the username carefully; a familiar display picture alone is not a reliable identity check.

Agree what should lead to a warning, silence, kick, or ban. Moderators should follow your boundaries and avoid abusive behavior themselves.

Remove access

Use the person's moderator options again to remove the assignment during the show. CAM4's documented browser workflow removes the session's moderator privileges when you close the broadcast room; check assignments again for a later show.

You do not need to share a password to appoint a moderator.

Android app instructions differ between CAM4 help pages. If the moderation assignment control is absent from your app, use the documented browser room controls instead of assuming every app version can assign it.
