What Are AdultWork Aliases?

AdultWork's alias system can associate accounts accessed through the same browser session. The alias indicator is separate from the rating shown in brackets beside a nickname.

Interpret the indicator carefully

A shared-browser connection does not automatically prove two profiles belong to one person or that misconduct occurred. The system is intended to help members notice potentially related accounts and review their histories.

If an alias window closes without showing results, AdultWork says the list may be recalculating or may include an Offering Services member whose details are restricted.

Can aliases be removed?

AdultWork says support does not manually remove them and that associations should drop out within about three months without further shared-browser use.

Do not create another profile merely to escape the indicator. Avoid sharing logged-in browser sessions, log out properly, and use the official reporting process for specific concerns rather than making accusations from the number alone.
