How to Broadcast on Stripchat From Your Phone
Yes, you can broadcast on Stripchat directly from your phone without needing a computer.
Mobile broadcasting can also be worth testing even if you normally stream from a computer. In FLASH's experience working with Stripchat models, we've seen mobile broadcasts sometimes receive stronger positioning and increased traffic. This isn't guaranteed, but it's worth comparing your results with your usual setup.
How to go live on Stripchat from your phone
- 1.Open Stripchat in your mobile browser and log in to your model account.
- 2.Open the menu in the top-right corner.
- 3.Select Start Broadcasting.
- 4.Allow access to your camera and microphone if prompted.
- 5.Check your broadcast and start your stream.
For Android devices, Stripchat recommends Google Chrome. On iPhone and iPad, use Safari.
What internet speed do I need?
Before going live, you can check your connection using our free speed test. Stripchat recommends:
- 720p: at least 4 Mbps upload and download.
- 1080p: at least 7 Mbps download and 4 Mbps upload.
- Ping: below 200ms.
- Jitter: below 4ms.
If you're using Wi-Fi, stay close to your router. If you're using mobile data, Stripchat recommends a strong and stable 4G connection or better.
How to improve your mobile broadcast
Before and during your stream:
- Start with at least 50% battery or keep your phone connected to power.
- Close unnecessary background apps.
- Keep the Stripchat broadcast page open in the foreground.
- Monitor your signal strength, battery level and phone temperature.
- Consider restarting your stream after 1–2 hours if your device becomes hot or performance starts to drop.
- Clear your browser's cache and cookies if you're experiencing browser-related problems.
Your connection can also be affected by network congestion, poor mobile coverage and moving between different locations.
Which phones support Stripchat broadcasting?
Stripchat states that its mobile broadcasting technology isn't compatible with every device.
Its current support information specifically lists Honor, ZTE and Huawei smartphones as unsupported and recommends devices including Samsung Galaxy, iPhone, Google Pixel, Sony Xperia and tablets.
Stripchat's published device examples include some older models, so rather than choosing a phone based solely on that list, use a modern device that supports the latest version of Chrome or Safari and test your connection before broadcasting.
Can I use a mobile streaming app instead?
Yes. Stripchat also supports mobile broadcasting using the Plasma streaming app, which provides another option for models who want to stream from their phone.
See How to Use the Plasma App With Stripchat for the setup instructions.
