Use your Android camera for a SkyPrivate preview
You can record your profile preview with an Android phone while controlling the recording from your Windows computer. DroidCam provides the camera connection; it does not replace SkyPrivate's recording tool.
Connect the phone and computer
- 1.Get the Android app and Windows client from the official DroidCam website. Check the current system requirements before installing.
- 2.For a wireless connection, connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network.
- 3.Open DroidCam on the phone and computer. Use the desktop client's add-device control to find the phone and connect it.
- 4.Confirm that the desktop client displays a live picture before opening SkyPrivate's recorder.
If discovery fails, check the devices' network connection and DroidCam's permissions. Follow the manufacturer's connection instructions rather than disabling your firewall entirely.
Record the profile preview
Open the SkyPrivate plugin's Record a preview tool. In its camera selector, choose the DroidCam virtual camera; its exact name can vary by client version.
Check the framing in the recorder, capture your preview, and post it when you are satisfied. Selecting DroidCam in another app does not automatically select it in SkyPrivate. Publication also depends on SkyPrivate's media moderation.
