When do you receive payment for an IWantClips custom order?
A customer's payment is held by the platform while a custom order is being produced. The order payment is released to the creator after delivery through the platform's process.
A paid request is therefore different from money already available in your payout balance. Check the order status before treating the payment as completed earnings.
If you decline or miss the order
The published guidance says a declined or overdue order can result in the customer's funds being returned to their site balance, generally within 24 hours. This is not the same as an automatic refund to their original payment card.
If the delivery deadline is becoming unrealistic, use the order's extension process while the order can still be managed. Sending a message about a delay does not by itself change the recorded deadline.
If delivery is disputed
The platform can compare the delivered clip with the accepted request. Depending on the outcome, a dispute can lead to a partial or full refund. Do not assume that uploading any file makes an order immune from review.
Keep the agreed requirements and important clarifications in the order's communication history. Before delivery, check the completed file against the request, including the selected options and any agreed deadline changes.
For a payment that appears missing, provide support with the order identifier and current status. Native custom-order revenue share and the timing of an eventual payout are separate questions.
