Eligible, age-verified creators receive tips as Chaturbate tokens. A real tip is recorded by the platform and reflected in your account's token activity; a viewer's message claiming payment is not enough.
Confirm a tip before fulfilling a request
Check the genuine platform tip notification and your token balance or transaction records. An emoticon, copied text, or chat message can imitate the appearance of a tip without transferring tokens.
Do not treat promises to pay later as a completed transaction. State your tip conditions clearly so viewers understand what a request costs before sending tokens.
Understand the cash value
Chaturbate converts creator tokens at $0.05 each. For example, 100 tokens convert to $5 and 1,000 tokens to $50 before applicable payout charges.
That is the creator conversion rate, not necessarily the viewer's purchase price. Earning tokens, converting them, and receiving a payment are separate account events.
